Personal Licences
A Personal Licence authorises the sale or supply of alcohol under a Premises Licence.
A Personal Licence is not required to supply alcohol in a members club or provide regulated entertainment or supply hot food or hot drink between 11 pm and 5 am.
A Personal Licence is granted by the Local Authority where the individual normally lives and is granted for 10 years. A Personal Licence can only be granted to an individual who is:
a) over 18 years old
b) must possess an accredited licensing qualification – the Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH).
